My Answers

  1. What do wasps do?

What we usually think of as wasps are generally put into two categories; the solitary wasps and the social wasps. The solitary wasps seldom attack humans, but the social wasps are easily aggravated and may sting. People often consider wasps to be useless, but they do fill an important function in the world, namely killing insects that fight against humans for food (locusts, weevils etc.)

  2. The Farm

This is a reality show I do not endorse in any way. However, if you like animal cruelty, watch The Farm on Channel 5.

As much of a fan of the Fab 5 as I am? Then go to Bravo's pages to read up on them!

  4. Sort Sol

I have frequently stated the Current Track to be Holler High by the Danish group Sort sol. Someone out there is really interested in getting the lyrics to that song. I suggest you buy the record from 2002. Also, visit the band (who's recently one member less) on their Danish site.

  5. Kåre Conradi

Norwegian hunk actor who's done lots of brilliant work mainly on stage. I've had the pleasure of seeing him live on three occasions, and he's a real entertainer. I suggest you learn some Norwegian and visit his manager's site about him.

  6. Ringtones

Can't help you there, other than to suggest buying a data cable for your mobile and downloading the midi songs instead.

  7. Alan Rickman

His name isn't popping up as often as expected on this blog, so I would suggest looking elsewhere for information on him. For instance this very active guestbook (which has its history of problems, but you could give it a try.)

  8. Dennis Storhøi

No, this is not even remotely close to a fansite of his; I'm just one of his admirers. Personally, I'd recommend his international site but you really should learn Norwegian and give his own website a visit (infrequently updated). Of course, what you should do, is track down where he's going to appear on stage the next time and go see the show! Or watch one of his films. Or do the washing-up. Either is fine by me. As long as you realise that even though I've mentioned him before we don't know each other and there's little reason why we should, so I couldn't give you any more information than the previously mentioned websites.

  9. Susanna Mälkki

Finnish conductor; I saw her at the Concert Hall once and happened to mention it here; I'm afraid there aren't many sites out there featuring any information on her, but I can tell you that she was born in 1969, she has worked as a solo cellist with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and is a promising graduate from the Sibelius Academy in Finland. Visit this site for more information.

  10. Philip Quast

Australian actor/singer/TV presenter/charmer. I suppose I should be considered a bona fide fan of his since I've gone abroad twice just to see him live on stage. Still, most of my information of him comes from The Philip Quast Guide, which I would highly recommend. Make sure you set aside about a week of your life to read through all the stuff there, and to visit the forum as well.

I don't know if you are. Visiting this blog on a whim, however, could indicate that you are.

  12. Peter Gallagher

American actor; I didn't have a particular interest in him one way or another until I met him by the stage door after having seen the brilliant Noises Off! there in May 2002 - he was so nice to his fans that I immediately became one. Anyway, try clicking here for more info on him.

  13. I've been sneezing

Not much I can do about that, except saying Gesundheit. Did your nipples harden? (Ooh, that'll give this site a few more hits...watch Dead Like Me for hints on why I typed that.)

  14. Siemens CX65

If you've got any questions about or trouble with this mobile, you should visit the official site at Siemens. I recommend downloading the Mobile Phone Manager program as well as updating the firmware...if you can find it. Also, I can't help you with turning off the camera sound - due to new laws and regulations we all have to suffer this sound because people should be allowed to know when they're being photographed.

I know you want the lyrics, but posting lyrics online without the permission of the owner(s) is illegal.

  16. Look to me in my eyeball

Quote from Along Came Polly, uttered by the outrageously French-impersonating Hank Azaria. Possibly 2004's best quote.

  17. Hans Marius Hoff Mittet

I guess since there aren't any real fansites out there that can help you, you come googling into my blog because I've mentioned him a few times due to his participation in La Cage aux Folles and Hotel Cæsar. Can't help you more than that, other than mentioning he pops up alongside his Pop Idol girlfriend (the one that everyone forgot to vote for, and look at what we got instead (only joking, I like Kjartan, he's just difficult to promote abroad (as if the hobbit Kurt wasn't...))) in several weekly magazines now and then.

  18. Cute guy in "La Cage aux Folles II"

You do realise, of course, that this film is 26 years old and that cute guy, whoever he is, probably doesn't look like that any longer?

  19. Riget episode guide

Riget is the original, terrific (in both senses of the word) version that led to Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital. All I can tell you about the episodes is that they were all great and that Udo Kier was possibly the creepiest character ever. Lillebror, anyone? Everyone should learn Danish (and Swedish, since the (now, late) Swedish veteran actor Ernst-Hugo Järegård appeared in it) and watch the original, goddammit!

Norwegian singer; known for being the singer of Tomboy during the eighties. Who knows what she did during the nineties. She entered the Norwegian Eurosong competition in 2007 and did not win.

Can't tell you. If I had any idea about celebrities' sexuality I would consider that to be a personal thing and wouldn't talk about it here anyway. Besides...who cares???

Congratulations for getting the title right. If you're looking for the album, you'll have to go to eBay because it's very rare. I would recommend it, though! Tim Morgan is in it.

I don't blame you for not finding anything on this man - few people get his name right. I'd definitely recommend watching Ted and Alice, Look Around You, How Do You Want Me?, Shaun of the Dead and Black Books for some memorable characters of his, though.

Both new and very good Broadway musicals. Buy the records, it's well worth it! Both have recently been transferred to London with great success, so I was a bit ahead of my time here.

No can do. There's something called copyright and piracy and heaven forbid the fans should get hold of something that's never officially released and would only make them even bigger fans and spend more money on their idols!

  30. When can you hold a newborn baby dwarf hamster

I don't know. Personally, I hardly ever held my own hamster, because he didn't like me very much. Or he liked me too much, I don't know. Actually, I don't think you're supposed to hold them at all until they've grown a bit, since the parents may not like it.

  31. Trevor Eve vegetarian

Why would anyone need to know that? Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. I don't think I have read anything about that, although I have a feeling there could have been some mention of vegetarianism around the time of Shoestring.

  32. Simlish

This is the language used in games thought up by Will Wright, especially The Sims (the whole franchise). The Sims 2 featured well-known artists re-recording their hits in Simlish, among them personal Jesus favourites Depeche Mode and Barenaked Ladies. Read a bit more on Wikipedia. Favourite Simlish phrase: "Coman snala?"

As far as I know, Mr. Palin has been married to Helen since 1966, and no one before that. You may see and hear her briefly in a few of his travel programmes.

Highly talented British actor and a very good-looking at that. You will find lots more information about him on Jason Isaacs Online (unofficial site). I also suggest watching the special features on the Peter Pan and Black Hawk Down DVD's for some memorable quotes.
